About the role;
As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will work on all aspects of implementation and support of customer facing BI Projects, from presales discovery and requirements gathering to solution design, installation and development, to implementation, testing, training and handover of the BI solution to the customer.
As a Practice, we aim to deliver business improvement to customers in a wide range of industries. You will focus on analysing new and existing software development requirements, proposing appropriate solutions and timelines, and carrying out development work individually or as part of a wider development team. This will include extracting, modelling and presenting data in dashboards and reports, which answer the key questions the customer has, taking their data and turning it into knowledge, information and wisdom.
You will be exposed to projects on a variety of product stacks, such Qlik Sense, Power BI and Azure, either individually or as part of a cross-practice team, depending on project size and scope.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Deliver end to end Business Intelligence (BI) projects, using an agile methodology
-
Assist the sales cycle via presales/discovery activities
-
Scope, analyse, and gather requirements, and design appropriate BI solutions

Install, upgrade, and configure Qlik and Microsoft BI products
-
Implement BI solutions to meet the customers requirement
-
Design and build Proof of Concept (PoC) Qlik Sense apps / Power BI reports.

Extract data from multiple data sources, transform and load into Qlik Sense Applications, Azure SQL Databases and Power BI Datasets via an ETL process.

Build user friendly, functional, yet beautiful dashboards and reports using data visualisation techniques

Provide training and facilitate workshops to customers

Assist the TSG Service Desk, to resolve customer BI issues and queries

Manage projects following TSG best practices

UK wide travel and overnight stays to meet customer requirements

Proactively manage personal development and ‘up skilling’ of technical abilities

Mentor and train junior members of the team to develop and grow their skillset
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
-
Certifications in Qlik and Power BI would be advantageous
-
At least 3 years demonstratable experience of developing/implementing/supporting solutions with at least one of the following Business Intelligence tools - Qlik Sense (or QlikView), Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure Data Factory / Azure Data Lake / Azure SQL, SQL Server Integration Services / Reporting Services
