About the role;

The Commercial Contracts Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the negotiation, drafting, and management of a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, and service-level agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management within the IT industry, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. 
 
This is a home-based role with some travel required when necessary.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
 
  • Lead contract negotiation processes with vendors, clients, and partners to ensure fair and equitable favourable terms and conditions for the company. 
  • Draft, review, and revise contracts to accurately reflect the terms agreed upon during negotiations. 
  • Collaborate with legal and business teams to ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements. 
  • Maintain a comprehensive contract repository, ensuring all contracts are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for internal stakeholders. 
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and renewal deadlines to proactively manage contract lifecycle. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to track contract performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. 
  • Identify potential risks and legal issues within contracts and work to develop strategies for risk mitigation. 
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on contractual matters, helping them understand and manage associated risks. 
  • Effectively communicate contract terms and conditions to relevant stakeholders, including project managers, sales teams, and executives. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries and ensure timely responses. 
  • Continuously improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across departments. 
  • Recommend and implement best practices for contract management within the IT services industry. 
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients, and partners through effective communication and professional conduct. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address issues, negotiate changes, and ensure contractual compliance.
 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;                       
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. 
  • Understanding of contract law and legal terminology. 
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Knowledge of IT industry practices and technology-related contractual matters. 
  • Proven experience (3 years+) as a Contracts Manager, preferably in the IT services industry. 
  • Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
