About the role;
As a Commercial Contracts Manager you will play a critical role in overseeing the negotiation, drafting, and management of a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts and service-level agreements. You will lead on the renewals process and must have a strong background and understanding in complex business set ups, including multiple revenue streams and varying contract frameworks associated with that.
This is a standalone role so you must be very hands-on, taking full accountability for all tasks contract related, whilst also suggesting and implementing business improvement plans where necessary. Travel to our Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne will be required as part of this role, therefore you must live within a reasonable travelling distance.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Lead contract negotiation processes with vendors, clients, and partners to ensure fair and equitable favourable terms and conditions for the company

Draft, review, and revise contracts to accurately reflect the terms agreed upon during negotiations

Collaborate with legal and business teams to ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements

Maintain comprehensive contract repository, ensuring all contracts are organised, up-to-date, and easily accessible for internal stakeholders

Monitor contract expiration dates and renewal deadlines to proactively manage contract lifecycle and renewals process

Work closely with cross-functional teams to track contract performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Identify potential risks and legal issues within contracts and work to develop strategies for risk mitigation

Provide guidance to internal teams on contractual matters, helping them understand and manage associated risks

Effectively communicate contract terms and conditions to relevant stakeholders, including project managers, sales teams, and executives

Continuously improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across departments
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

Strong experience as a Commercial Contracts Manager, preferably within the IT services industry

Experience in implementing business improvement plans in line with contractual frameworks

Experience managing commercial contracts within complex, multi-revenue stream organisations

Understanding of contract law and legal terminology

Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of IT industry practices and technology-related contractual matters

Degree qualified in Business Administration, Law or other related field
