About the role;
As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department's day-to-day operations. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the rest of the Finance Team to help drive financial performance, analyse data, and provide key insights that contribute to informed decision-making.
We are looking for someone part qualified for this role, TSG will provide support and funding to allow you to complete your qualification.
This is a home-based role with regular travel to our Head Office in Gateshead required for team collaboration time.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to gather data and provide analysis.

Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to management.

Analyse costs and expenses, tracking cost drivers, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, statutory reporting, and tax laws.

Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate the annual financial audit, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided accurately and on time.

Provide ad-hoc support, analysis and reporting as required by senior management.

Continuously seek opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency within the finance department.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with progress towards full qualification.

Previous experience in a finance role, ideally in a technology services or similar industry.

Proficiency in using financial software and MS Excel for data analysis. – Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), or Microsoft NAV would be an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
