About the role;

As a Microsoft Training Specialist, you’ll bring learning to life, designing, delivering and refining training that makes a measurable difference for both colleagues and customers. Working within our People Development team, you’ll build standout TSG Academy content, deliver sessions across the UK, and use data and feedback to continuously improve how people adopt Microsoft technology.
While this position is home-based, the role involves regular travel. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are therefore essential.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
 
Content & Programme Development
  • Design, build and maintain high-quality TSG Academy content and learning modules.
  • Create engaging video content using tools such as PowerPoint and Camtasia.
  • Review and improve existing content based on usage data, feedback and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal experts to develop relevant, customer-facing content.
  • Support bespoke projects, creating blended learning solutions to meet customer needs
 
Delivery & Facilitation
  • Plan and deliver impactful training sessions (virtual and in-person), adapting to audience needs.
  • Deliver across multiple formats (face-to-face, Teams, 1:1, group, video and resources).
  • Adapt to challenges in delivery, handling technical issues and interruptions with confidence.
Insight, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Support training needs analysis (TNA) to identify capability gaps and inform solutions.
  • Analyse outcomes, share insights and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Celebrate success, identify risks and highlight opportunities for improvement.
 
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
  • Work with marketing to increase Academy visibility and customer engagement.
  • Build strong relationships across TSG, providing guidance and support internally.
  • Support the delivery of bespoke customer training.
 
Operations & Professional Development
  • Coordinate session logistics to ensure a smooth, consistent learner experience.
  • Maintain accurate records in D365 and internal systems.
  • Continuously develop your Microsoft 365 knowledge and capability.
 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
 
  • Good standard of education, with a Level 5 or higher qualification or relevant experience.
  • Recent experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training is essential.
  • Recent experience of working with and delivering projects to external customers is essential.
  • Recent experience of conducting TNA with external customers and designing and delivering their requirements on the back of this is essential.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable experience using, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams to a high level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coaching capability – able to ask good questions and actively listen to the responses.
  • Able to organise yourself and work independently.
  • Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Able to adapt to and embrace change with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Flexible and adaptable, and able to work with whomever to get the job done.
  • An advocate for people development, performance and customer experience, who proactively seeks opportunities to improve the training and development offering.
  • Demonstrates creativity, commitment to the role, team and company, and will go the extra mile when required.
  • Experience of working in a multi-site organisation and project management experience would both be advantageous.
