Job Purpose & Responsibilities;
 
As the Practice Manager of Cybersecurity and SOC within TSG, you will create, shape and lead our offering in this space whilst aiming to become a true market leader across the UK. To be successful in this role you must have exceptional security skills across a broad spread of technologies as well as strong business and commercial acumen. Engaging with customers in pre and post-sales discussions, you will have the ability to communicate well with a variety of role levels within any organisation. This is a brand-new, exciting role within the business, and we require an excellent leader to come on board, share your knowledge and drive this Practice forward.
 
 
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
 
  • Form a concise strategy, communicate, and execute your plans in a timely manner
  • Provide competitor analysis within the security sector
  • Scale the financial performance of the security sector in line with year-on-year growth targets
  • Accurately forecast expected business by month & quarter, tracking progress against targets on an ongoing basis, taking necessary action to re-focus efforts if required
  • Support Customer Success Managers and Service Design Leads with customer discussions, including any advance preparation
  • Train and develop non-tech staff on awareness and product knowledge of the Cybersecurity and SOC Practice
  • Be a diligent line manager and a great leader to create, retain and expand a high performing practice team
  • Identify success and failure early to maximise opportunities and take correction action as required
  • Full profit and loss accountability
  • Develop our security solutions product offerings
  • Design and implement our security deployment and support models, with a focus on automation
  • Be responsible for pre-sale, delivery, and support of security projects, taking the lead with our customers
  • Preparing bid proposals to help find new opportunities and presenting to customers.
  • Drive the development of the AEM monitoring solution, to improve levels of automation and efficiency
  • Drive continual reduction in the number of tickets requiring an engineer to intervene using automated fixes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement systems or procedures that will improve the efficiency of the support and service functions
  • Continuously drive down customers technical debt
 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
 
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent industry specific experience
  • Comp TIA Security+ certification and Certified Information System Security Professional would be desirable, or equivalent security certifications
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, solutions orientated mindset
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Senior stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent knowledge in the design, deployment, and support of security-based technologies
  • Considerable experience through verification testing, including penetration testing and show clear traceability through standards, process definition and technical documentation
  • Able to carry out detailed work against security attributes, and able to constructively assess others’ work
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of IT security within a SecOps role
  • Extensive knowledge of all areas of IT security, within cloud, infrastructure, platform, physical and information security
  • Familiar in multiple security standards and framework
  • Full driving license
