About the role;
As a Principal Sage 200 Consultant in team leader capacity you will play a crucial role in leading a dynamic team while actively contributing to the successful delivery of Sage 200 projects. You will be responsible for managing a group of consultants specialising in Sage 200 consultancy and deployment. Leveraging your deep expertise in Sage, you will guide and mentor team members, ensuring optimal project outcomes and client satisfaction. This position requires a unique blend of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and project management capabilities.
You will be part of the strategic development of the Sage 200 practice, ensuring the practice has the required technical skills, resources, toolsets, and solution offerings to meet our customers’ requirements.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will positively influence year-on-year revenue growth.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Lead and manage a team of Sage 200 consultants, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success. Monitor KPIs for the team, regularly assess performance, and provide feedback to help team members grow and develop. A point of escalation for the Consultant team.

Working with the Project Managers, oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and within budget. Identify potential project risks, mitigate, and escalate with support from Project Manager where necessary.

Deliver revenue in line with the Business Plan. Ensure operations across the team area managed to budget from a resource and allocation perspective. Efficiently allocate team resources, balancing workload, and expertise to ensure optimal project outcomes. Provide regular updates to senior management on team performance and project status.

Develop an ISV strategy which supports our own IP as well as forging relationships with other ISV partners for cross selling and support integration. Own strong relationships with Sage technical specialists to ensure our Sage capability and offerings align to Sage best practice.

Build and maintain strong relationships through presales and project delivery with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the team delivers tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Support the pre-sales function to ensure the preparation of high-quality sales proposals. Collaborating closely with clients to identify opportunities for system improvements and optimisations. Address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain and in-depth understanding of Sage 200 capabilities. Provide expert advice on system configuration, customization, and integration. Stay updated on the latest features and updates within the Sage ecosystem.

Ensure the quality of deliverables and adherence to best practices in our implementations. Take part in operational review boards to ensure the viability of opportunities. Work with Support Team Leaders to ensure sufficient quantity and quality of post project documentation is received and reviewed to achieve best possible customer experience.

Drive process improvements and share best practices to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes. Identify training and development opportunities for team members in line with individual L&D plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

Extensive end-to-end Sage 200 implementation experience
-
Proven experience in leading a Sage practice, or similar role, is desirable.

Sage Certified Qualifications – ideally to level 3.

Knowledge of ISV solutions and product extensions

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Proven track record of project closure and achievement of targets
