About the role;
As a Sage Intacct Developer will be expected to develop and maintain bespoke solutions for Sage software in accordance with customer requirements whilst providing specialist support for customers’ bespoke applications.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
-
Attend meetings to establish user requirements, advising customers on bespoke capabilities.

Investigate appropriate solutions to customers’ requirements and prepare detailed specifications for review by customers.

Provide estimates of development activities for project quotations.

Produce software source code to specifications, adhering to coding standards.

Perform programmer testing and prepare test environments for independent testing, briefing testers appropriately.

Visit customer sites where necessary to perform bespoke software installations, providing support and training.

Create custom reports to customer specification.

Document and investigate customers’ queries, responding in a timely manner with appropriate solutions.

Ensure full understanding of project requirements, deadlines and priorities via liaison with project team members and use of project schedules.

Coordinate own workload to ensure that deadlines are met, providing frequent progress updates to the project team and the customer as necessary.

Maintain good working relationships with all members of staff and customers.

Travel and overnight stays may be required to fulfil customers’ needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
-
Educated to degree level in a computing discipline, or to A level standard with relevant experience.
-
Full, UK driving licence.
-
Essential experience in developing and supporting bespoke solutions for Sage 200.
-
Experience in developing and supporting Sage Intacct.
-
Strong proficiency in developing applications using VB.NET.
-
Solid experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.

Desirable experience in creating and supporting bespoke solutions for Sage 50 Accounts.

Additional desirable experience with bespoke development for Sage Intacct.

Experience developing applications using C#.
-
Familiarity with API technologies and integration services.

Experience using remote access software and related technologies.
-
Good accounting knowledge.

Aptitude for writing technical and customer-facing documentation.
-
Good customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
-
Good time management skills and a high attention to detail.
-
Ability to effectively train end users.
