About the role;
As a Senior Platform Developer, you will be part of the Platform team focusing on transforming legacy TSG services and systems into cloud native solutions delivered in a repeatable fashion, following an agile software delivery methodology and TSGs current approach to the build and delivery of Microsoft technology hosted platforms by replacing manual approaches with automated solutions.
Alongside developing high-quality code, your role is to mentor junior members of the team and to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology strategy and processes.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Design structured, maintainable systems which meet TSG or customer’s requirements effectively.

Develop systems efficiently by selecting and using the right tools for the job.

Use the appropriate paradigms when writing code, ensuring code is clear, maintainable and ultimately re-usable.

Test systems to ensure they are of sufficient quality.

Maintain stability and performance while integrating and release systems.

Maintain code quality by advocating peer reviews, pair programming and at all times share knowledge with wider team.

Use tooling and gain insight into system performance to determine root cause and the best approach to remediate incidents.

Provide development and engineering assistance to troubleshoot systems such as EDRM for Enterprise.

Utilise a DevOps approach and tooling to automate software build and deployment as well as infrastructure configuration and deployment.

Utilise the monitoring and logging tools effectively and ensure the right data is transmitted to these tools to gain insight from both time series log based and system metric-based data.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or equivalent is desirable.

Azure cloud services e.g., azure functions, web applications, storage, logic apps, service buses, Identity Services, Graph, Azure DevOps, C#, ASP .NET, JavaScript, T-SQL and PowerShell.

Infrastructure as Code, ideally bicep.
-
In a Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment environment.

Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

SharePoint development.
-
Microsoft SQL Server.
-
Familiarity with SDLC models and solid Agile methods.
-
Experience in developing cloud native applications in a commercial environment.

Experience of working with a quality first approach, performance testing, integration testing and unit testing.
