Job Purpose & Responsibilities;
 
As a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, you will have a strong technical background working with IT infrastructure and networking equipment preferably in a pre-sales or sales capacity. You will work closely with our Customer Success Managers and Service Design Leads supporting them with customer meetings, understanding the customers’ needs and talking through solutions off the back of that. You will be expected to build quotations for customers and follow this through to closing stage, providing a seamless handover to Technical Consultants thereafter for delivery.
 
As this role is customer driven, you must be a strong communicator and a great relationship builder. You will also be a good team player, as you will be contributing towards both individual and team targets.
 
 
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
 
  • Active participation within key clients, supporting Service Design Leads and Customer Success Managers with customer opportunities
  • You will demonstrate a good working knowledge of TSG’s technical and telecoms product portfolio (Office 365, HPE, HPi, Sophos, Datto, Mimecast, Gamma Horizon, etc.)
  • Possess working knowledge of TSG’s application portfolio (Sage, Pegasus, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Engage TSG clients and prospects in a consultative manner to identify and advise suitable product solutions and propositions
  • You will look for opportunities to cross sell and up sell through active engagement throughout the sales cycle
  • Provide accurate forecasting throughout the month / quarter as required
  • Achievement of aggregate team target as defined throughout the year
  • Responsible for your own performance and targets
 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
 
  • Technical infrastructure and networking equipment experience within a customer driven role is essential
  • Technical sales experience would be desirable
  • Technical sales qualification would be desirable
  • Strong problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Solution orientated mindset
